Bio
Hi, my name is Nicolai Sandow, born in 1977 in Berlin. I have been working as a frontend webdeveloper since 2002, mainly for local news publishers (Medienhaus Lensing in Dortmund, DuMont in Cologne). I like working with HTML, CSS and frameworkless Javascript, logo design, image and vector editing, Git, Scrum and have a focus on UI/UX and SEO.
As a hobby I’ve been running a gaming community since 2005 about the System Shock games series. I like reading books by B.Traven for my wife, helping people, growing palm trees and a cold beer. I have strongly held opinions about web standards, net neutrality and the value of voluntary work.
Here’s a silly picture of me.
Hobby Projects
- Karl Marks is a Chrome browser extension that brings a custom new-tab-page
- Tomato Editor is a code playground
- This long link loads a simple Breakout game into Tomato. All data is passed in the URL. It is then saved to your browser’s local storage, including any changes you may make, until you clear Tomato (CTRL+L).
- And here’s a css gradient shadow
- Systemshock.org is a fan community dedicated to the System Shock games series
- Dirty Dancing Mitschrift is a feeling, a heartbeat.
